Guests in barn at a wedding open evening

Everything You Need to Know About Huntsmill Open Days

_January 6

What do you need to know before attending a Huntsmill Open Day?

We have all your questions answered! Take a look at our short FAQ below.

If it’s your first time attending an open day, or maybe you’ve visited your fair share, you’ll start to find that every venue has a different approach.

At Huntsmill Farm we run open days/evenings in our barn venue based in the Buckinghamshire countryside at least three times a year. We love seeing new and existing couples take away lots of inspiration for their wedding planning.

While we still invite a great bunch of preferred suppliers along, we call it an open day because its main purpose is for couples to see the venue dressed up; allowing them to envision what their special day could look like.

Here is our FAQ that will help you get the most out of your open day experience:

Do I have to register?

Yes, we kindly ask all couples to register before attending. This helps us plan the day and ensures every visitor has enough time and space to fully explore the venue. Registration is super quick and can be done via our Eventbrite page.

How many guests can I bring?

All couples can bring a maximum of 6 guests. This includes your ticket i.e. if you’ve booked for yourself and your partner, you’ll have 4 tickets remaining. This ensures everyone has a fair chance of attending with their loved ones.

Can I bring my dog?

Unfortunately not. The barn will be very busy and not an appropriate environment for lots of dogs.

However, we’re more than happy for you to bring your pup on your special day! We have two pet-friendly cottages that guests can use the night before and night of their wedding day.

Can I bring children?

Yes! Children are more than welcome at Huntsmill Farm. Please be aware that children will also need a ticket.

Will suppliers be there?

Yes! Our Wedding Open Day includes a showcase of some of our trusted suppliers. From florists and photographers to caterers and stylists, you’ll get to meet the professionals who can help bring your wedding vision to life.

Can I have a tour?

Definitely! Our team will be giving personal guided tours of the venue throughout the day. You’ll have a chance to explore the ceremony and reception spaces, on-site cottages, and learn about how Huntsmill Farm can be tailored to your dream wedding.

Couples will be asked to book a spot prior to the event.

Is there parking?

Yes, we offer plenty of parking on-site for all our guests. Just follow the signs when you arrive, and our friendly staff will direct you to the parking area.

We do ask that you car share where possible. The car park can get particularly during peak times.

Will there be refreshments?

Our in-house caterer will provide tea, coffee, and canapés. We also invite an evening caterer who will serve delicious food that you can enjoy.

Will I get to view the cottages?

Yes! All of our cottages will be open for you to explore.

Can I hold a date on the day?

Absolutely! We have an availability calendar for couples to check whether their dream date is free. If a couple decides to hold their date, we mark it off so that it can no longer be taken.

Will the venue be styled?

Yes, we typically ask one of our preferred suppliers to style the venue.

What happens if I can’t make it on the day?

If you can’t make it on the day, please let the team know as we can cancel the ticket and offer it to someone else. Our open days are usually fully booked so everyone must have an equal chance of attending with their loved ones.

Will we see you at the next one?

On the 2nd February 2025, we will be holding our next Open Day. We’d love for you to join us! Book your tickets here.
