_Generations
of Farming
Chris and Fiona lived at Huntsmill Farm for over twenty years and some of the land Chris farms has been in the family for four generations.
_The first wedding
After living in Oxford and working for Oxfordshire County Council Henry decided to move back to the farm and thus weddings at Huntsmill Farm began. The first wedding was in 2011 using a traditional pole and rope marquee which had previously hosted many informal celebrations with family and friends.
_A family wedding
Henry popped the question to Ruth in December 2012 and in May 2014 they squeezed in their own wedding at the farm. It was a fabulous day (despite starting with a torrential downpour) and really inspired Henry and Ruth to create the perfect wedding venue.
_The Barn
Conversion
Work began to convert the barn into a wedding barn in April 2017 and was completed in April 2018 with the first wedding in May 2018. Now its self-esteem has been restored, along with the stone work, and it is a glorious feature of our lovely courtyard.
_Outdoor ceremonies
After the doom and gloom that 2020 brought, we needed a project to get our teeth into which also got us excited for the future. In 2021 we revealed our new outdoor ceremony space, The Shed. The Shed is fully licenced for outdoor weddings and the stunning landscape gives a breath-taking alternative ceremony space to the barn.

We can't sit still and are always looking for ways to add to the experience of getting married at Huntsmill Farm. Keep your eyes peeled for our next innovations!

We want to create an extended Huntsmill family with our couples, suppliers, and wider community.
We are a business built from a family farm, it has generations behind it and generations ahead of it. We always want to remember what we are, where we came from and how we came to be. Family is at the core of everything we do.

We want to work with the environment as much as possible, using sustainable products and approaches to nurture our surroundings.
As a farm we have an acute awareness of the environment and treat the land with respect. We want to have a positive impact on the environment around us by being aware of and putting into practice sustainable and environmentally friendly processes.

We want to create new ways to excite and delight our couples and ourselves. We are not afraid to push boundaries, make sacrifices and work very hard to deliver the perfect experience.
We take pride in pushing ourselves and our team and expect everyone to be industrious in their approach. We reward hard work with an environment that promotes teamwork, growth, and high standards.

We are not afraid to be different. We try not to take ourselves too seriously. We want to have fun whilst delivering a unique experience.
We love what we do and we love sharing it with everyone. We cultivate a relaxed atmosphere where everyone can be themselves and enjoy the farm. We actively encourage our couples to make the farm their own and have a wedding day that truly reflects themselves and their story.

Our promise to our
community
We love being part of our local community and try to give back as much as possible. Our pop-up pubs are all run in aid of local charities and we hold community events in the barn as much as we can.
A sustainable future
At the forefront of our minds and decision making is how we can develop into being a sustainable and environmentally conscious wedding venue. We have already taken steps on this journey by having our carbon footprint assessed and will be working improving our practises moving forward.
