5 Reasons You Should Get

Married in March

_September 3

As Springtime approaches, a March wedding brings in warmer days and symbolises the start of new beginnings – sounds blooming lovely, doesn’t it?

If you’re contemplating getting married in March, we have all the reasons why you should:

1. The cold winter days begin to disappear

Many of us start to crave a bit of warmth after a long cold winter. As the seasons transition from winter to spring, March is neither too hot nor too cold; giving couples more choices when planning their wedding.

Maybe you’re thinking about holding your ceremony outside? There’s a great chance that you can if you choose a March wedding! At Huntsmill, our outdoor structure, The Shed, is licensed to hold civil ceremonies meaning newlyweds can tie the knot outside if the weather is on their side.

There’s also more flexibility in what wedding attire you’d like to wear. You can leave the winter accessories behind, rock a lightweight fabric such as lace or chiffon, and opt for a short-sleeved/strapless dress.

2. Daffodils start to bloom

You will not be left disappointed when you see all the bright colors starting to appear in March. Not only are spring flowers pretty to look at, but they make a brilliant photo opportunity for you to discuss with your photographer.

If you’re looking to surround yourself with spring flowers, the Huntsmill grounds and lawn area is the perfect spot for this. Photographers from our preferred supplier list will know the best spots to take you; giving you plenty of photos you can cherish.

3. Wildlife makes an appearance

Huntsmill Farm is surrounded by the Buckinghamshire countryside which means you don’t have to walk too far to spot the hibernating wildlife making their appearance to the world again. Being so close to nature makes it a special time of year as March draws in new beginnings for our lovely couples.

4. Soft pastel colors are back

You can have so much fun with a Spring color theme. Think lilac, peaches, baby blue, rustic beiges, and forest greens. At Huntsmill, our couples have exclusive access to the barn and outdoor space from 1pm the day before their wedding to decorate as they wish. We’ve seen some stunning colour palettes being displayed with beautiful flowers, table decorations, and wedding signage.

5. Low-season deals in March

A summer wedding is often the most desired choice for couples. However, even in summer, you can experience wet, overcast days. Opting for a March wedding will save you a lot of money and you’re guaranteed to have a comfortable, enjoyable day with milder temperatures.

At Huntsmill we have a March Wedding Package which takes away the stress from planning at a lower price. The offer includes full venue access, on-site accommodation, food & drink, and DJ entertainment. If you’re looking for a cheaper option, it’s worth considering.
