At Huntsmill Farm, we’ve always believed that weddings are about more than just one day. They’re about connection, community, and creating something lasting. That belief is one of the reasons we support the MK Community Foundation, a local charity doing incredible work across Milton Keynes.

We’re proud to be a business member, and each year we donate a percentage of our turnover to their Environment Fund. It’s a way for us to give back to the wider community and support projects that reflect the values we hold close.

What the MK Community Foundation Does

The Foundation works with local charities and community groups to support vulnerable, isolated, and disadvantaged people across Milton Keynes. Their Environment Fund focuses on sustainability and climate action, helping grassroots projects that make a real difference.

Some of the projects supported recently include:

• Buckingham Canal Society, restoring a historic canal and training young volunteers in conservation and biodiversity.
• Woughton Community Council, improving a community garden so more people can grow food, learn new skills, and connect with nature.
• Acornfields, running a project called Waste Not Want Not that teaches people how to reduce food waste and tackle food poverty through practical workshops and community markets.

These are the kinds of projects that bring people together, build resilience, and protect the environment for future generations.

Why It Matters to Us

Our values at Huntsmill Farm are family, inspire, sustain, and character. Supporting the MK Community Foundation feels like a meaningful way to live those values beyond the weddings we host.

We see every couple who gets married here as part of our extended family. That sense of care and connection is something we want to share beyond our venue. By supporting local charities, we’re helping other families and communities thrive.

We also care deeply about sustainability, and the Environment Fund allows us to contribute to environmental projects that protect the future of our local area.

Looking Ahead

We know we’re just one part of a much bigger picture. But if every business does a little, it adds up to a lot. We’re grateful to be able to contribute, and we’re even more grateful to the couples who choose Huntsmill Farm. Their celebrations help us continue this support.
