Your wedding day
Your wedding day at Huntsmill Farm
At Huntsmill Farm we want you to have the best day ever! To help you picture what the day might look like we have created a timeline of the key parts of your day. We're a relaxed bunch here at Huntsmill Farm and this is just a suggestion of how your day might unfold. Your day really is your day and you can do any of it in any order you like!
Getting ready
All seven of our cottages come included in our wedding package and you have access to three of these from 4pm the day before your wedding. This means that after decorating the barn you can have a lovely evening with your wedding party before your last night of beauty sleep before the big day.
On the morning of your wedding our cottages are the perfect place to get ready. Blacksmith's cottage is the largest of our cottages and is a great space for a larger wedding party. The four remaining cottages will be available at 9am on the morning of your wedding.
Your ceremony
The ceremony barn seats 90–100 guests. We're licensed by Buckinghamshire County Council Register Office. All ceremonies need to be booked with their registrars. You can find out more information here. The barn is available to you from 1pm the day before your wedding for you and your suppliers to set up and decorate. In the ceremony barn the benches will be laid out, as will two tables, one for you and one for the registrars.
On the morning of the wedding a member of the Huntsmill team will greet the registrars and will arrange for them to meet you both and any witnesses or speakers before the ceremony. Once all your guests are sat down in the barn a member of the team will be on hand to collect the couple if you're walking in together, or one part thereof, if you're walking in separately.
You can also choose to have a ceremony outside in our stunning gardens and our outdoor wedding structure, The Shed.
Welcome drinks and canapés
After the ceremony it's time to kick back with drinks and nibbles! Our resident bar will set up your welcome drinks on the lawn in the gardens or in the barn courtyard. The caterers will be able to serve your canapés in both these areas too.
As your guests chill out and catch up your photographer will mostly likely come and grab you for your photos. We have lots of special nooks and crannies which make beautiful backdrops as well as interesting textures such as our blue container and stone garden walls. Most people also like to get a shot with our red telephone box, vintage tractor and giant chair!
The wedding breakfast
Once you've had your photos and everyone's looking hungry it's usually a good idea for the wedding breakfast to start! In the main part of the barn we can provide circular tables or rustic tables. We have examples of 50 people, 70 people and 100 people seating plans here to give you a guide to what it might look like.
Now it's time to P-A-R-T-Y? Cos you gotta!
When the meal is over, the speeches are done and you've cut the cake the last thing left is to do is party the night away! We'll clear away all the benches from the ceremony barn during your meal (the doors will be shut so you won't be disturbed while you're eating) so your band or DJ can set up.
Once you've finished your meal, we'll open the doors and the dance floor is all yours!
Last orders are 11.45pm and your night ends at midnight.
The morning after
The Huntsmill team will gather together all your decorations and belongings in the barn ready for you to collect in the morning. Check out isn't until 11am so you can enjoy a lovely long leisurely first breakfast as a married couple.
