Congratulations, you’re engaged! Once you’ve calmed down, phoned all your family and friends and put the all-important ring photo on Instagram, you might start thinking about when you’re going to get married. Saturday is still by far the most popular day of the week to get married but weekday weddings are a trend that is growing worldwide.
Why are weekday weddings winning the popularity contest?
Firstly, and possibly most importantly, they are significantly cheaper. Check out our prices to see what you could save by having a weekday wedding at Huntsmill Farm. This could help to keep some pennies in the bank for a rainy day or it could mean you can splash out on that special touch you’ve been stalking on Pinterest.

Venue availability is much more likely when choosing a weekday so if you really want a summer wedding and don’t fancy waiting an extra year then opt for a weekday and you’ll be saying I do before you know it! Here at Huntsmill Farm you can get married on a Tuesday or a Thursday during the week.
Another big bonus is that all your favourite wedding suppliers will have much more availability during the week compared to weekends which can book up a year ahead or more! This is the same for the registrars who will be much more likely to have the most coveted time slots available during the week.
Things to consider
Everything so far sounds like a no-brainer, right?! There are however a few things to consider.
Your guests might be a tad reluctant to book a day or two off work and if they’re teachers it might be nigh on impossible. If you book your wedding at Huntsmill Farm you can entice people away from their desks by selling it as a mini holiday. As well as the barn and grounds you get two nights accommodation included with your booking and as we’re nestled in the beautiful Buckinghamshire countryside it really does feel like you’ve left the real world behind. Your guests will have the best time celebrating your big day but will also reap the benefits of a lovely break away from the daily grind.

You could also opt for a slightly later ceremony so that anyone more local would only have to book a half day or come after work. Most friends worth their salt will make every effort to come to your special day so make sure you give everyone as much notice as you can so they can plan accordingly.
