The next top wedding supplier firmly part of our gang is the one and only Ben Weston from Ben Weston Music. Ben plays in the amazing band Firing Line and also does solo acoustic guitar, perfect for weddings. Firing Line actually played at our own wedding and Ben sung our first dance for us! Ben and Henry have known each other since they were 12 so its extra special for us when he plays at the barn. He’s an all-round lovely chap and super talented to boot. Check out his Q&A below!
Tell us about yourself
My name is Ben Weston, I’m a 33 year old father of three, a professional musician, songwriter, music producer and rugby fan.
Why did you want to become a musician?
I grew up listening to the Beatles and Queen, and always admired their ability to tell a story with their songs. I convinced my parents to buy me a guitar for my 13th birthday and taught myself to strum some Lennon McCartney classics and never looked back.
What is your style?
Acoustic Rock and Pop, which can be fairly flexible, but I try to focus on songs people can hum/sing along to.
What advice would you give couples when choosing their walk in music.?
Choose something for you and don’t listen to other people’s opinions. I’ve played everything from One Direction to Metallica for the bridal aisle walk, and it can all work when done in the right way.
What makes you happy?
Working on new songs in the studio or spending time with my family.
If you could be someone else for a day, who would you be and why?
Owen Farrell, because I’d love to experience captaining my country and being that good at rugby.
What do you love most about your job?
Hearing people sing along to songs that I’m playing, because then I know that I’m on the right track.

Because I will work harder than anyone else to make your day sound how you want it to.
What’s your drink of choice?
Single Malt Scotch Whisky.
