We’re often asked why couples should book their wedding with us. What makes Huntsmill Farm a great choice? Of course, we are biased, but we think Huntsmill Farm is a beautiful location for a wedding.
Here are ten reasons why you should book your wedding at Huntsmill Farm.
1. We’re A Family Run Business

Huntsmill Farm is a family-owned working farm run by the family for many years. Some of the farmland has even been in the family for four generations! Being family-run, we work hard to extend that family feel to our couples and welcome them into the Huntsmill family with a relaxed and memorable experience.
The first wedding at Huntsmill Farm took place in 2011 before we converted our stone barn using a traditional pole and rope marquee. After a few years of weddings in the marquee, Henry came up with the idea to convert the neglected stone barn into a wedding venue. Work began on the barn in April 2017 to transform it into a beautiful wedding venue, and we held our first wedding in May 2018. Since then, we have welcomed lots of couples to the Huntsmill family.
2. Beautiful Location

Huntsmill Farm is located on the border of Oxfordshire, Northamptonshire, and Buckinghamshire, surrounded by picturesque open fields. We are an arable farm of over 330 acres with spectacular countryside views.
3. Indoor and Outdoor Ceremony Options

At Huntsmill Farm, you will find our beautifully converted 18th-century stone barn. Our barn consists of two rooms joined through oak doors, one used for ceremonies and later the evening entertainment and the other used for the wedding breakfast and our onsite bar. The barn has huge amounts of character, with exposed beams, oak-framed windows, and beautiful lighting.
As well as our ceremony barn, we also have our outdoor structure, The Shed, as an alternative location to hold your ceremony. The Shed was built in 2021 out of reclaimed roof timbers from the farm and a corrugated tin roof, and you can find it in front of the beautiful Buckinghamshire landscape. One of our favourite things about The Shed is that it has an ever-changing backdrop depending on the time of year.
4. Exclusive Use For 3 Days
When you book your wedding with us at Huntsmill Farm, the venue is exclusively yours for three days allowing you time to decorate and set up the day before the wedding and enjoy the accommodation throughout your stay.
You have access to the barn from 1 pm – 5 pm the day before your wedding, giving you plenty of time to set up and decorate. The day after your wedding, you will have access to the barn again from 9.30 am until 10.30 am.
5. The Ever Changing Background

As we are located in the Buckinghamshire countryside, we benefit from having an ever-changing backdrop to our wedding venue. We have everything from blooming wildflowers, crops ready for harvest, seasonal flowers planted around the courtyard, and our stunning Virginia creeper, which turns red in the autumn. You might even spot some wildlife making an appearance across the fields!
6. Decorate Your Way

Our stone barn is a beautiful blank canvas, allowing you to add your own stamp to your wedding with decorations. We have lots of hooks and areas for you to decorate and lots of room for table decorations.
In the main barn, we can provide circular or rustic tables for your wedding guests. You can find examples of our layouts for 50-people, 70 people and 100 people seating plans here to help give you an idea of the available space.
7. Everything Is In One Location

One of the great things about Huntsmill Farm is that everything is in one location. Our barn has different areas without leading your guests to other locations. Inside you will find space for the wedding breakfast, dance floor, bar, all in one place means all your guests can celebrate your wedding day with you easily.
8. Lots Of Outside Space
